Materials & Ingredients

PowerHeal® is a polyester bioelectric bandage with embedded microcell batteries made of elemental silver and elemental zinc. In the presence of moisture, PowerHeal®’s batteries create electricity designed to boost the electrical energy your skin naturally creates and uses in the healing process. It also effectively kills up to 99.99%* of bacteria at the wound surface. Used to help heal a wide variety of wounds like cuts, scrapes, abrasions, irritations, blisters, and more.

PowerHeal®'s adhesive includes a lyocell fiber absorbent pad and durable yet gentle polyurethane/acrylic adhesive border that locks in moisture, blocks bacteria from above, and keeps the bandage in place.

Energel® ingredients include reverse-osmosis water, polymer, humectant, preservatives (methylparaben, propylparaben). Used to cover a wound to protect against abrasion, friction, drying out, and contamination. It can also be used to activate PowerHeal® products.

Powered by patented, FDA-cleared technology. PowerHeal® and Energel® Products DO NOT contain natural rubber latex.

Indications & Instructions

PowerHeal® Technology has both prescription and over-the-counter indications; the prescription indications are broader than the OTC, but the technology is the same. See the following PowerHeal® Indications for Use:

- Over-the-counter Use: PowerHeal® Antibacterial Bandages are available over-the-counter for use on a variety of wounds including minor cuts, scrapes, irritations, abrasions, blisters, and more. They provide a moist wound environment and reduce infection risk by killing bacteria.

- Prescription Use: PowerHeal® Antibacterial Bandages are available by order of a physician use for a variety of partial and full thickness wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, surgical incisions, and donor and recipient graft sites. They provide a moist wound environment and reduce infection risk by killing bacteria.

    Simply apply a thin, even layer of Energel® to the dotted side of the bandage to activate the embedded microcell batteries and help keep your wound moist. 

  • Apply

    Peel off the paper liner and apply to your wound. Gently press adhesive down to firmly seal. 

  • Seal & Heal

    Remove the paper frame on the top side of the dressing and gently press to secure the adhesive border.

    Little miracle

    I had a horrible bike road rash from a fall. It was amazing on how fast this product worked to heal and the pain I was having was almost non existent by the next day. Truly amazing! I have put these bandages in Christmas baskets for my family.

    Didn’t work where needed

    As I needed relief for the bottom of my foot, they just wouldn’t stay in place. They should work in other areas

    Thank you for your feedback! As you’ve found, bandaging on the toe / foot area can be challenging. Here are some suggestions: Many customers choose the PowerHeal™ with NO Adhesive for this area, and then choose their own preferred covering (like an absorbent pad and adhesive or wrap) to maintain moisture and keep it in place. If you choose PowerHeal™ With Adhesive: apply as instructed. The clear adhesive may be difficult to apply or may not stick well due to all the contours of the foot so you can apply an elastic adhesive tape over the bandaging to secure it. Examples: 3M Elastic Self-Adhesive Tape or J&J Elastikon Elastic Tape.

    Because Nothing Else Worked

    What a find! I would love to share that this is the ONLY product I have found that has actually worked in healing an ulcerated wound on my upper arm. It's not fully healed but in just three weeks it is miles above where it was, and I could not obtain this with any other product!!! I would post images, but I was never wanting to take an image of what I was dealing with. I just put a long sleeve shirt on and tried to ignore it. And I live in a very hot and humid State.

PowerHeal® with Adhesive is a good choice if you are looking for an all-in-one solution (PowerHeal® pad + adhesive + absorbent pad included) and you do not have sensitive skin. PowerHeal® with No Adhesive is a good choice if you have sensitive skin. PowerHeal® with No Adhesive can also be cut into smaller pieces or combined with more bandages if your wound is a challenging shape or size. Remember, if you choose No Adhesive, you will need to provide your own preferred covering(s) to absorb drainage and keep the bandage in place.
